Friendly and competent staff. Slightly put off by the scaffolding and workmen walking past my room window at odd hours during the day but this did not detract from what was a great stay in Berlin in a warm, comforting hotel in a fabulous location.

We were not aware that the hotel was being refurbished when we booked and were surprised to be woken at 7.30am by builders drilling into our balcony wall. We asked to change rooms to a quieter one at the rear, which they did with no bother. This was by the lift, which was fine, however, we were only in this room 2 hours whilst we showered before our night out. Unfortunately, the water ran from the shower into the bathroom flooding the entire room. We asked to change rooms again. We were given a big room with tea and coffee making facilities and very comfortable beds. They were very apologetic and did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were in this room for 2 nights and they were the best 2 nights in Berlin. The hotel is in an excellent location. Right near blue church Christmas market, which in my opinion is one of the best. Great for Taxi's and underground to visit sights. Also great for shops like Ka De We and Karstadt. So all in all a great stay at the hotel. A 3 star rating from me, but then you get what you pay for. 89 euros a night. Not bad.

This hotel is conveniently located in quiet area convenient to shopping and transport services. It is a ideal base for visiting Berlin and its amenities but hotel itself is basic e.g. breakfast service could be improved. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit nonetheless.

Stayed there beinning September 2008. The hotel was fine for a short stay. The hotel could do with a make-over, it looks a bit rundown and the decoration of the interior is very outdated. Bathroom has lots of cracks and makes a depressing impression. Breakfast is ok but when the breakfast room is full (happens very easily since it is not a big room and there are many groups in the hotel), things run out fast without being replaced quickly. The location is great, very close to the Kurfürstendam in a nice sidestreet. Overall not bad, it is not very expensive, a bit gloomy though and it does not look as 'classy' as on the website.

I was in many hotels during my travel (six hotels) and the best experience was in this hotel, everything was very good, above all, the treatment and the breakfast

C'è stata una discrepanza tra quanto scritto nella Vostra conferma di prenotazione : "stanza disponibile dal mattino dell'8 maggio..." e la realtà: le stanze sono state disponibli solo nel pomeriggio alle 15,30 con nostro disagio perchè siamo rimansti in sospeso per tre ore.Ci aspettavamo la disponibiltà dalle 12,00 come solitamente negli alberghi.
Nonostante il confort della mia stanza - N 307- il bagno non era pulito ( carte e macchie sul pavimento ) all'arrivo e tale è rimasto fino alla partenza tre giorni dopo.
