This hotel is cheap and in a good location. The rooms are clean and their standard is decent. The hotel in general is a little run down, but given the price I would say that the value is good. I had a single room, which was tiny, but colleagues of mine were given double rooms for the same price, and these were very spacious. The location is good for access to Messe Berlin (Conference Area): a 10 minute walk and a 5-10 minute metro ride will take you to the station Messe Süd (alternatively fork out 12 Euro for a taxi). There are plenty of good restaurants near by, and the Kurfürstendam shopping street is just a couple minutes' walk away. You can walk to the Gedächtniskirche or the KaDeWe department store in about 15 minutes.
